Daily Panda questions, answered
How the hard-day goal and forgiving streak work, where your data lives, and what Premium adds.
Is Daily Panda free?
Yes. The free version has no time limit and lets you track a few habits, each with a Full goal and a hard-day goal, plus the forgiving streak, the Garden calendar and a daily reminder. Premium is optional and adds unlimited habits, per-habit reminders, widgets, extra theme packs and Google Drive backup.
What is a hard-day goal?
It is the smaller version of a habit that still counts on a busy day. "Read 20 pages" can become "read one page". Tap a habit once for the hard-day goal and twice for the Full goal — either one keeps your streak going.
What happens to my streak if I miss a day?
Your streak stays alive as long as you tend at least one habit a day, even at its hard-day goal. Today can never break it before the day is over. A day with nothing logged simply shows as an empty space on your calendar — never as a red mark. If you just forgot to log, you can mark yesterday from the home screen.
Can I log a habit I forgot to mark yesterday?
Yes. Long-press a habit on the Today screen and mark yesterday at its hard-day goal or Full goal. If you marked it by mistake, you can undo it from the same menu.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no account. Your habits are stored on your phone. If you choose to back them up, the backup goes to your own Google Drive under your own Google account.
Does Daily Panda work offline?
Yes. Your habits live on your phone, so tracking, the streak, the calendar and reminders all work without an internet connection. Only Google Drive backup needs one.
Is Daily Panda on iPhone?
Yes. Daily Panda is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android, with the same features on both.
Which phones does it run on?
Android 7.0 or newer, or an iPhone running iOS 18 or newer.
Does it have widgets?
Yes, with Premium. Home Screen widgets on Android and iPhone show today's habits, and you can tap a habit right on the widget to log it.
Can I move my habits to a new phone?
Yes, with Google Drive backup (Premium). It saves your habits and history to your own Google Drive and restores them on a new Android phone or iPhone. Daily Panda also keeps daily copies on your phone for free, but those are for undoing a mistake on the same phone, not for moving to a new one.
Why do the colours change during the day?
Daily Panda follows the time of day: its colours and its scene art shift from morning to midday, dusk and night, so the app always feels in tune with the hour. Premium adds four more scene packs — Coast, Snow, Dune and Meadow — to the free Forest pack.
Are there ads? What data do you collect?
No ads, ever. Usage analytics are off unless you turn them on. Crash reports are on by default so bugs can be fixed, and you can turn them off separately in Settings › Privacy. Analytics never include what you write — habit names or goals.
How do I cancel Premium?
Cancel in Google Play's (or the App Store's) own subscription settings. Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Nothing is deleted when it ends — resubscribing restores your setup exactly.
What languages is it available in?
English, for now.
Who makes Daily Panda?
Daily Panda is made by Suhas Shelar, an independent developer in India — the first app from SoloTeams, a one-person studio.
